Mendoza 2018

2018 has been quite a year. We have created a solid partnership with The Saint Napa Valley, completely sold out of our first vintages, added two new wines to our portfolio called CURFEW, and visited the incredible wine region of Mendoza. We visited several incredible wineries, nestled in the hills below the Andes Mountains. They were still snow capped and it rained a bit while there, which actually made our visit quite pleasant. Later in the week the temperatures rose to almost 90 degrees.

Below is a view from the incredible winery SoloContigo (meaning “only with you”). Highly recommend a visit there while in Mendoza. Great Cabs, blends, and of course, Malbec.

Burning Man 2017

We ventured to Burning Man for the first time this year – accompanied by our good friends, Shara and Dave, who helped us not feel so much like neophytes.  It was an amazing week of wine, art, music, nature – and of course NIGHT!  At Burning Man, we slept during the heat of the day and enjoyed the lights and music all NIGHT. We can’t wait to do it again next year!  Check out all of our photos on

Oh What A Night

Thank you so much to all of you that attended Opening NIGHT.  For those of you that were not able to join us, here is a short update.  With events in both Bellevue WA and San Francisco, CA, your fellow NIGHT owls were treated to wines and cocktails at the open bar, amazing food, great friends old and new, and of course the release of our inaugural three wines.

The launch included a short presentation about NIGHT and out perspectives on why we founded NIGHT Wines, which is to celebrate the connections and celebrations we all enjoy over a bottle of fine wine.  There truly is something magical about how a bottle of wine opens doors, conversations, and unites us.

Following the announcement and description of each, the wines started to flow.  We kicked it off with the 2014 Chardonnay grown in the south of Napa Valley in Carneros.  Next was the 2013 Reserve Merlot.  Grown on Spring Mountain at almost 1800 feet of elevation, this is a single vineyard wine unblended, and unfiltered.  Nothing but mother nature’s goodness.  And finally, the king!  2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, also grown at the top of Spring Mountain very close to the Merlot block.  But this wine is big, bold, flavorful and blended with just the right amount of Reserve Merlot to make it perfect for food and sipping alike.

We so appreciate all the support all of you have shown us, whether you were able to attend or not.  We look forward to hearing your stories about the NIGHT.  Please post them on our Facebook Page.  (See the link at the bottom of this page) Tell us about your favorite restaurants, wines, trips, and other NIGHT activities.  We celebrate and NIGHT and want to provide a place for you to share that love as well!

As Heidi said at the conclusion of her remarks – Bring on the NIGHT!

Harvest in full swing

What an amazing harvest!  Harvest is moving very quickly now as the heat and climate have been perfect.  An outstanding year.  We have already harvested the Chardonnay, Merlot, and one Cabernet Sauvignon block.  We should have all the fruit in by weeks’ end.  To give you a flavor of the effort, here are two pictures of the activity.  First we pick the grapes all NIGHT long.  Harvest is much better at NIGHT since the fruit stays cool and stable until we get it in the tanks. Bet you never knew how important the NIGHT was to making great wine.  The second is a view of the sorting table before the wine heads into the optical sorter, through the crusher, and into the tank

The optical sorter is so cool.  Millions of berries fly down a conveyor belt and are viewed with an electric eye.  If one of the many berries is just slightly imperfect, a small air jet flicks the berry off the conveyor before it can drop into the crusher and into the fermentation tank.  Amazing technology.  We can’t wait to taste the result.

NIGHT Wines is all about the NIGHT – the friends, the connections, and adventures we experience at NIGHT (usually with wine!).   Please share your NIGHT Wine stories and photos on Facebook (just tag NIGHT Wines in your post).   Or send your stories and photos to and we’ll post a few here.
